Hello NAHUC Members:
With summer almost over, school back in session and the last of the official required cook-out holiday in a few days, it's hard to believe it's been a month since the NAHUC Board of Directors was in Denver finishing the details of the restructuring. The revised bylaws and officer job descriptions were presented and accepted during General Assembly. I believe the upgrades and education presented helped make the conference not only memorable, but inspiring.

As the newest member of the Awards, Membership and Chapter committees, I will need help from all committee members to bring me up to speed. I look forward to working with the current committee chairs: Eileen Wolke, Awards and Sandra Geter, Membership and Liela Jackson, Chapters. We need more members on the Membership Committee so we can transition from region representatives to state liaisons. State liaisons will assist me by communicating news and changes that occur in their states, helping find and answer the needs and concerns of members and sharing ideas to increase our membership.
I will try to continue to share some type of update monthly if possible. Although I won't be saying thank you to all new and renewing members individually, I would like to continue acknowledging all new and renewing members with a huge thank you to all. Here's wishing everyone has a refreshing Labor Day!
