Region 1 Rap Sheet
Greetings, Region 1 Members! I have enjoyed the opportunity of chatting with many of you via email. I am grateful that there is a mechanism that allows for speedy communication and the sharing of ideas. Keep sending in those emails, I love them!
At our summer board meeting in 2007, we created a vision statement and set of core values for our association. Our vision is to become nationally recognized as the standard of excellence in the provision of education and certification for the health unit coordinating profession. How can this be accomplished? As a NAHUC board, we are constantly working on providing tools that health unit coordinators can use to grow professionally. We need your help at the grassroots level to utilize these tools, and to show your pride in your profession. Working together as an association and members, we can help our profession be better recognized for the great work we do. If you have ideas/suggestions on how we can work towards our NAHUC vision, please send them my way! Everyone’s input is important and valued.
I hope you are planning on the education conference in Reno August 27-30. Let’s have a great showing from our region!
