Region News 3/24/10

The new changes I wrote about last month are still in the works. Job descriptions and responsibilities are now being addressed. This task is to be completed by the Board of Directors for approval in August. We continue with positive changes to make us a slimmer, trimmer, more effective association in the 21st century.

It's hard to believe another month has come and is almost over. My how time does fly. Texas has had its own share of the weather. Last Friday, it was a little windy but in the low 70's. Then came Saturday with the first day of Spring and we had rain all morning, then around 6:30 P.M, it started snowing. Within a 50 mile radius of my home, there was 6 to 10 inches of snow on Sunday. That's THREE SNOWFALLS in TEXAS in ONE YEAR! Completely unheard of!  I've spent time in Indiana and Missouri; I moved to Texas for NO Snow and rarely is it COLD.

Now, the Healthcare Reform is law or something. It has become more of politics as usual. Ratification not to be completed any time soon due to various states suing the Federal Government for the 14th Amendment violations. We will all have to wait for what is next.

Next, is a wish for warm, sunny Easter. Easter baskets, egg hunts and families being together. Flowers starting to bloom and gardens being readied for planting.
