Message from Region Representative:

Hard to believe another month has gone by. The very next week after my complaint of no rain, it started raining for about seven days straight.  It rained today, July 23. Scattered, but rain none the less. What is the world coming to? Rain in Texas in July. That's like snow in Florida. Another result of global warming.

Change is all around us. In less than two weeks, the proposed restructuring of your Association will be brought to the board of directors for voting. There's been minimal comments from the members about the changes. The trust every member is expressing in the Board of Directors is not taken lightly. We, your board of directors, will work diligently in performing all activities that represent you as members of NAHUC and Health Unit Coordinating as a profession openly, honestly and efficiently as possible. With the changes that will be occurring, this is probably be the last Region 3,4 &6 update in this format.

I would like thank all new and renewing members for supporting health unit coordinating as a profession by joining or renewing your membership in NAHUC. Special thanks goes to Susan from St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis and to Cynthia, Roxanne, Toney and Betty from University Hospital in San Antonio for expressing interest in NAHUC.  List of new and renewing members follows.

Wish everyone could be in Denver next week or maybe Las Vegas for next year's conference.
