Educational Article Requirements To Earn NAHUC Contact Hours

 

 

 

 

NAHUC Contact Hour Activity:
"Write and Publish an Educational Article in Professional Journal or Book"

Purpose:

A method of earning NAHUC contact hours to be applied to recertification.

 

Contact Hours Awarded: 12

How To:

Submit a copy of the published article to the NAHUC Education Board via the NAHUC office.  Article must adhere to the publication guidelines of the journal in which article is being published.  The Education Board awards NAHUC contact hours after review and determination that the published article meets the requirements below.

 

NAHUC Education Board Requirements For Publishing An Educational Article

 

  1. Article content must pertain to the NAHUC Certification Exam Content Outline Based on 2004 Job Task Analysis. Click here for outline.
  2. Article must identify at least three and not more than four measurable learning objectives.
  3. Article must list all resources and references and must list a minimum of three and not more than six sources; sources must not be more than ten years old.
  4. Articles submitted for publication must be typed and double-spaced, free of all grammatical and spelling errors.
  5. Article must be at least 400 words.
  6. By submitting an article for publication, the author implies their consent for the editorial board to choose to edit, modify, and/or publish.
