NAHUC Committees

NAHUC welcomes and encourages local, state, regional and national participation.  NAHUC, its committees, task forces and affiliates, encourages members, regardless of race, gender, creed, color, national origin, religion, marital status, age or sexual preference, to apply for office on the Board of Directors, committees, task forces, or affiliates.  A description of NAHUC committees follows.

 

Archives Committee: Collect, store and retrieve NAHUC items that have historical value.

Awards Committee: Implement procedure for annual recognition awards, review candidates, and select the winners for the annual awards—CHUC of the Year, Institutional Provider of the Year, and Outstanding Individual of the Year.

Bylaws/Policy Committee: Review and recommend additions, revisions and/or deletions of the NAHUC bylaws and/or policies.

Chapter Committee: Develop and implement procedures for chapter formation and affiliation with NAHUC.  Maintain records of chapters, contacting each on a regular basis.

Ethics Committee: Review the NAHUC Code of Ethics and all concerns regarding possible violations of the NAHUC Code of Ethics.

Fiscal Affairs Committee: Prepare, administer, and monitor distributions of the NAHUC budget.

Marketing/Public Relations Committee: Develop and recommend marketing strategies that include all phases of promoting the professional image of NAHUC.  Promote goodwill through public relations.

Membership Committee: Research and implement plans for increasing and retaining the NAHUC membership.

Program Committee: Coordinate, develop and initiate plans for the National Education Conference, and assist with the arrangements for the Board of Directors annual and semiannual meetings.

Publication Committee: Compile and edit materials ready for NAHUC publications; prepare the Coordinator.

Candidate Application

Any NAHUC member interested in serving on a NAHUC committee should submit a candidate application to the NAHUC office.  Applications are reviewed and voted on at the semi-annual NAHUC Board of Directors meetings.  Click here for a  Candidate Application.
