NAHUC welcomes and encourages local, state, regional and national participation. NAHUC, its committees, task forces and affiliates, encourages members, regardless of race, gender, creed, color, national origin, religion, marital status, age or sexual preference, to apply for office on the Board of Directors, committees, task forces, or affiliates. A description of NAHUC committees follows.
Awards Committee: Implement procedure for annual recognition awards, review candidates, and select the winners for the annual awards—CHUC of the Year, Institutional Provider of the Year, and Outstanding Individual of the Year.
Ethics Committee: Review the NAHUC Code of Ethics and all concerns regarding possible violations of the NAHUC Code of Ethics.
Membership/State Liaison Committee: Research and implement plans for increasing and retaining the NAHUC membership.
Nominating Committee: Solicit candidates for officer elections and committee appointments. Implement the policies and procedures for nominations and elections.
PR/Marketing Committee: Develop and recommend marketing strategies that include all phases of promoting the professional image of NAHUC. Promote goodwill through public relations.
Program Committee: Coordinate, develop and initiate plans for the National Education Conference, and assist with the arrangements for the Board of Directors annual and semiannual meetings.
Publication Committee: Compile and edit materials ready for NAHUC publications; prepare the Coordinator.

Any NAHUC member interested in serving on a NAHUC committee should submit a candidate application to the NAHUC office. Applications are reviewed and voted on at the semi-annual NAHUC Board of Directors meetings. Click here for a Candidate Application.
